A Tree, a really, really old cool tree. I actually think it's dead, so sad.

That is really cool, do you care to share the technical? Where did you find it?

I just passed it every single time I went to my in-laws and kept thinking "I gotta get a shot of that tree sometime." But most often I didn't have my camera with me (I know I should keep it on me.)

Anyway, I had a promo shoot for a musician named Garry Jones, formerly with Mercies Mark, and we went over to take a shot in front of the tree and I finally got it.

Camera NIKON D2X

Exposure time 1/400 s
F-number f/8
ISO speed ratings ISO 320
White Balance Shade

I also processed it using a new action I've named Java Cream, and I hand touched it with a dodge and burn too.

I'll post some pix of his shoot soon.

I myself keep thinking I should bring my camera everywhere I go. I think the action made the shot that much more interesting. Talking about musicians brings up another question. Where do you find some for use on your website. I am working on a new website for next year and I would really like to have fresh music.

My music comes from a guy named Brock Hillman, I shot his wedding and he's really great. Also, one of my songs is josh groban.

I will look into Brock's work. How is he when it comes to using a song on a website?

That is so cool! I will get in contact with him. I have no problem giving credit, it is great music! I don't mean to fill up your comment page. I will just send you an email. Thanks Jim

you kidding, i haven't had so many comments in a long time.

It's funny people will ask me questions about things they see on my blog when they see me but wont leave comments? not sure why.

anyway, thanks.
